Without a proper foundation that is well developed, (through figuring out what you liked and didn't like about an already formed business), your business will surely fail; especially if you do not take the time to reflect on what you did not like in past jobs or companies. Did you feel whether your coworkers disliked you or did you feel that they liked you? What kind of environment did you work in? Was it hostile or was it supportive? Once you have asked yourself these questions, you should continue through analysis by asking yourself the next question of how was this environment created? For example, if you felt your work environment was supportive, how did your superiors create this type of environment? Was there an activity everyone participated in that made all of the employees support each other? Most people will consider their workplace environment to be extremely important to their happiness in a job.
WRITING YOUR BUSINESS PLAN
In order to compile these ideas, you should take yourself to a place where you can focus on only your thoughts. It is not a bright idea to start a business of any sort without thoroughly through the foundation of the company. The next step in creating the business that will support your hobby is to take the brainstorming of ideas, (what you hated about your previous job, career or company), and start elaborating on it.

So, what is it that you like to do? How do you like to spend your time? Whatever your hobby is, you should try to narrow down on an aspect of your hobby first. Usually, this is too general for people when they want to turn their hobby into a profitable business. Once you have figured out an aspect of your hobby that you can use for a profitable business, you should start incorporating this aspect into your business model.
LOOK AT SIMILAR BUSINESSES GET IDEAS
Perhaps they are doing something you haven't thought of or perhaps you want to do something they haven't thought of. Many business owners love to take the opportunity to show potential customers or even potential colleagues their business because they are proud of it and because it may bring them business in the future. Through using a search engine, you should be able to find all of the information you need on other businesses that are doing a similar business to what you want to do. It absolutely must be taken seriously. Once you have figured out the type of business you are going to have, (for example, refinishing furniture), you need to start researching the competition to get a deeper grasp on your business model, but also to see what others are doing. Promptly call the owner of the business up, explain that you are interested in their line of work and ask if you could have a tour of their facility or speak with them about your business ideas.

Further, research of your product's competition will help your company grow by taking their ideas into consideration. It won't take you a lot of extra effort to develop another identical business, but it will allow for you to earn more money doing what you love to do.

EDUCATE YOURSELF IN SALES. VERY IMPORTANT
The most important part of the sales call is listening to the customer's objections and answering them quickly and efficiently so the customer doesn't lose interest. In addition to having a job as a salesman, you can also ask a person that is a salesman if you can watch them in the act. Even though this may set you back for on your timeline for opening your business, you will probably find that this is time well spent because you will learn the fine art of sales - a task that is usually difficult for many people to master. Usually, people are willing to do this and if you know someone willing to have an observer, you should go and watch them carefully.
CREATE. DESIGN. WHAT WORKS WITH YOUR BUSINESS MODEL?
By doing this, you will keep your customers happy and will continue to help your business grow and prosper as you rise in a new industry. Even though you have thought about your business considerably, researched your competition, figured out what type of an education you need, and understand all of the legal requirements you need to have in order to open your business, you simply cannot sit back and wait for your business to suddenly become profitable.
